HAVOC vs APACHE
hi. i dont know if any agrees but i think the havoc and apache are terribly unbalanced. havoc has 16x atgms whilst the apache has 8x. since they are nearly the same price it seems useless to actually use apaches. plus i believe that the rockets on the havoc are more useful. 10x higher accuracy rockets are much better than 32x crap ones. also there should be a 16atgm apache option. even one with 2x sidewinders? just an idea since that is a real combination. a 4 x rocket launcher apache would just suck ass but

The hellfire is the only fire & forget missile in the game. The Apache will kill its target even if it dies or loses line of sight after firing the missile, whereas the Havoc needs to see its target at all times in order to hit.

The Apache has a stabiliser, in addition its autocannon is more accurate than the Havocs and it has a lot more ammunition. The and as said above the Hellfires are fire and forget, which are infinitely useful for SEAD missions, and they have a higher AP than the Havoc's missiles.

Personally I don't use either Helicopter, I much prefer the Mi-24 Series over the Havoc, and as NATO, I can think of better things to spend my points on than an Apache.

Not even looking at the stats man, from experience. Apaches are just as feirce, with thier stabiliser and thier mobility they can out manouver other helos, shoot tanks (Accuratly), and avoid AA at the same time. I find they can drop elevation really quickly too, and they are great complemented with Hog gunships or Cobra-IS.

i have fired an atgm from a havoc at max range and moved away and it still hit its target. the main use i use the havoc for is a heavy tank killer. i avoid taking havoc/apache against other helis especially hinds because its too risky. e.g. take an ammobox hit or get stunned and its pretty much lost. i just turn the rockets off and save it for when i need a reliable and easy way to kill MBTs. i dont have apaches in my deck. on a side note the blackhawks should have a kiowa style minigun lol

the apache due to fire and forget SLAH Hellfire missiles can pop up from a forest shoot and drop back down

yeh but that seems a bit too much micro. it would be useful in an attack role if u could fly low the whole way in to the treeline then pop up, but since u cant fly low (correct me if im wrong) then it is still vulnerable on the way in. also the missiles seem to fire too quickly, as soon as the missile hits something it fires again = wasted expensive missile. or are people expected to turn the missile off after every shot?

but it is great if you know where an enemy is going and you have time to react

it depends on how you use them. apache is very useful for taking out t-80's. but the havoc is better all round, also the reason why the havoc has that many atgm missiles is because it doesn't have much of the rocket pod missiles. all together they are both equally match. but then again the other heli's are just as good. if you use them the way you want to.

i personally think with every thing in the game it is all personal prefrence but i prefer the apache
