Just bought recently. How do I get command stars for more units easily?
I mean, I'm currently at a loss as SP doesn't seem to provide many and I want to test strategies with decks if not to simply experience the variety. Do I need to buy them somewhere or be stuck with 5% of the features without considerable effort?

Wish they were already naturally available - why wasn't this done??!?!?! Keep a dog following a bone? Feels like £15 wasted so far...

Just play more... I never had your problem: I just enjoy the game and have everything unlocked with stars to spare. It only take a couple of days to get everything unlocked.

First off, congrats on purchasing this fine RTS.
You get Command stars for the Campaign and through levelups. The "points" required for a levelup are generated by playing Skirmish or in MP. Each level gives you 5 Stars, at 10/20/30 etc you'll receive 10 stars.
Try playing against a human if you are desperate for stars, even though you will probably lose, you will learn a lot and get many points.
At the beginning, the campaign will get you by experiment a bit.
But the best thing is, that if you unlocked a unit which will not fit into your strategy, you can just reroll your points in the options. Now you have all your stars, and a fresh unit list. A very useful feature that encourages to try out units before adding them to your permanent deck.
The list of units seems overwhelming at start, but many are connected (research M113 once, and you have it with all), and some are not that important at first.
