can i pick my units?

can i pick my units in single and multi player and just spam infantry if i want or is it like chess where we get the same units ? oo also do i get resources and buildings to create and upgrade?

No, you'll have to create decks - you can limit yourself to certain time period, country or branch (like Armored or Mechanized etc.): this will give you certain bonuses but you can't take all units anymore. If you play a standard mixed deck though, you can take almost all units of Nato or Pact respectively. The more infantry you put into your deck, the more activation points you'll have to "pay" to get even more infantry, but yes, you can spam only inf (doing so will lose you every game though - spamming sucks hard). There are no buildings (excluding the Forward Operating Base - which contains loads of supply for your units). There are no upgrades (you can chose different experience levels which influence your units in terms of moral etc. though) - this is no arcade spammer game .. you'll have to use combined arms and brain.

what game is this closest to, in style and gameplay is it like modern total war meets the card part of magic the gathering?

the squad mecanics are similar to total war, no real card mechanics though. look it up on youtube if you wnat to see it. its unique.

make a deck ..thats just lame O.. I wanna play not have to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ read and make decks waste of money this game.
