Resupply litterally totally broken?

Is there some magical trick to make ai actually resupply? I seem to find that any helocopter supply methods are just totally unreliable. The chinooks seem to pick and choose whether they will land and supply the vehicles that will hold the lines? the attack shoppers even though out of rockets prefer to just hover by the supply vehicle never land and because they dont assist with the line its lost and you just throw in the towel? going to need to work on ai methods i cant believe how much you have to babysit here. calm supply vehicles should supply or better yet how could they add altitude adjustment and not a simple land command? idk anybody know how to make any thing related to helos and resupplying actually even 80% reliable over the 5050 im experiencing please post its too frustrating.
Ive noticed you cant play single player skrimish as the ai basically has infinite everything, if you at least play multiplayer against ai you have a chance.
