Fan Translations
Leaving Lyndow has a lot of reading in it, and I know there are a lot of people who would like to play the game, but cannot. We would have loved to support more lanauges, however our budget was limited. So I'm opening up a few spreadsheets to the community.

I understand there is a lot of translation to ask of one person, so the idea is that anyone who speaks the language can feel free to hop into one of these google spreadsheets and translate as much as they'd like to or have time for.

This is a bit of an experiment, so I can't garuntee there will be enough participation to finish any of these and officially support a language. But since there have already been threads with people attempting to translate anyway, I figured I'd try to make an official system for anyone gracious enough to attempt translating.

The middle column is the english text, and the right column is where the translation goes. The left column is nonsense for the game engine only. Whenever we finish a spreadsheet, I will put it into the game and push an update for all to enjoy!

To get started, you will need to click the link for your language and request permission to edit. The reason I'm doing this is its the only way I can track who's helping, and I'd like to make sure the contributors are properly thanked.

thanks Danny! it's a great idea! I wish more Chinese fans will be playing your game form this way. i will translate English to Chinese now.
if this game can add a Chinese version i would like to buy one.As u know the Chinese steam player gets more and more if a game can add a Chinese version i bet it can sell more copies.

It's almost there, now a doubt. Does not this game have a decent end? Will continue? Or is it a complete game?

:) :) THANKYOU SO MUCH! You're the best! Its a complete game, albeit a short one! The story is about leaving on a journey, not about the journey itself.

We are also working on Eastshade, which is a much larger game that takes place in the same world, which we'll probably finish in 2018. However that game has little to do with this one story-wise.

So I've adjusted the permissions of the documents. You will now need to request permission to edit before adding translations. The reason I've done this is so I can track who has contributed, and make sure to put those names in the credits as a special thanks :). Thanks everyone for bearing with me while I sort out the best way to do this.

When my translation work went into the 'forest', I came up with a idea that May be you could add some subtitles for environmental sound in your game when the game next update. I hear Birdsong when I walked in the forest and hear the water sound when I swam under the sea, Also include the noise of the people on the shore, I can imagine a beautiful picture in my mind. But may be some hearing impaired people couldn't have this feeling the same as me, because they can't hear.

So I sincerely hope that you will add some environmental sound subtitles for some people that playing this game just by 'watching'.

You're totally right. That would be a nice accessability improvement. There's quite a few bugs I have to fix right now but that would be a nice addition I will have to consider later. At the moment I don't have a subtitle system of any kind.
