So after like 30-40 with fast speed it start to export food, but isn't that a bit long ??
You can probably help yourself out there, if you take the humanitarian aid edict because that provides food (and medical care) for your populace that isn't coming out of your food production.
Corn grows the fastest but makes the least profit so building many corn farms is inefficient as export product/employment costs. Banana and papaya take one year to grow and make a decent profit. Pineapple is the best earner and can be canned to increase profits but takes almost two years to grow.
Expecting good profits or production rates with newly built farms is unrreasonable and you should anticipate at least four years for the job slots to fill and the experience to rise for a good steady income. From my own experience fast build is a waste of money unless you have lots of homeless or lots of unemployed on hand.
