PAT4 or PR3?

I just bought Triopico 5 from GMG & got 100% off on *either* PR3 or PAT4.

Both are the Standard version, not Gold version and have no DLC.

If you have experience with both versions, please help me make up my mind on which to get (I'm posting this in both forums).

I am likely to get the one that is more fun & faster to play, I'm not interested in maintaining excel sheets (gamer with a demanding job).

It seems that many people pick PAT4 over PR3..
Saying it has more to it, yet, nearly alike to PR3...

Having recently played both a lot, I can say that they each have their benefits. A good spreadsheet would be helpful for both, sure, but start-up is a little different.
The overall production level is higher in PAT4, but money seems easier to come by in PR3.
The campaign is definitely easier in pr3.
Getting popular opinion is easier in pr3.
Automating trade is easier in pat4. You can set warehouse admins to trade certain items for certain prices, which you cannot do in pr3 (only 'buy' and 'sell', no indicator for individual goods).
I feel a little put-off by Pat4's...well, it doesn't feel like it was made to be played in English. Not a big deal, but just something I feel worth mentioning.
I haven't made it to Pat4 lategame, so I can't describe that.
Combat feels a little smoother in pr3, but it's explained better in pat4. That's irrelevant once you've figured it out, though.

If you like your empires tall without excessive effort, go with pat4. If you like a shorter but wider-encompassing empire, I'd go with pr3. Both are worth paying for, in my opinion, even at full price.
