Serial key given by Steam doesn't work
I just bought Tropico 3 and installed it and Steam gave me a key to copy to my clipboard but it doesn't work. It just says it's wrong. What can I do?

Check both your Tropico 3 AND Absolute Power entries in your inventory. I had a similar problem. I started one version but it needed the key from the other.

I have had a similar problem. I had been playing Tropico 3: Absolute Power for a couple of weeks. I don't play it for a few days and when I try to log back into it a screen pops up saying that the product key, provided by Steam, was wrong. I haven't even installed the "Special Edition" copy so I don't believe that would be the problem. Any suggestions?

I would uninstall both and then reinstall both. Launch SE, enter key, and when nothing happens, quit and launch AP and enter its key. From then on only launch AP when you want to play Tropico 3.
