GFWL... can't play this game?! What on earth?! No support even?

Hello forum members...

I purchased a copy of Batman Arkham City on Steam. I am currently having an absolute NIGHTMARE dealing with the horrible mistake that is GFWL. After finally finding a way to get it to pop up on Windows 8, I am not unable to either login, or I’m am told that the CD Key is already in use on another account (which is not true, it is the same account I am using) I cannot find half the pages for GFWL working on the internet, and some of them have been shut down. Microsoft doesn't even seem to have a contact page to go to!

How am I possibly supposed to play the product I purchased when I can’t even start up a legitimate copy? Steam is where I purchased this product, and I expect to at least be able to use it, but that isn't even the case.

Please help.

I am also in this situation with several copies of batman games, on my kids computers and mine as well.

I had already created a profile a while back when I activated the game on another computer. I'm on the same account I believe. What do you mean by local profile?

The Problem is, in fact, that there comes NO POP-UP for GfWL on the Batman Start/Options etc.-Screen.. -if you use win8 ...because GfWL is not running on Win8 / or win8 is not running with GfWL

No I fixed that problem by copying in the files! However, then I either can't login or it claims the code is taken by another account (it isn't)

I did, and no reply. However, I seem to have fixed it. It seems TWO emails are associated with the SAME account. Not sure how this happened. Used the other email title as the login, and it can work with that. Login works with both, but the code is associated with the other for some crazy reason.
