Save game deleted- After saving perfectly fine for days?

So as you're all aware GFWL really f*cks with this game, I bought it last week at the begging of the summer sale and the first thing I did was sort out the GFWL saving situation so I could save my game. It worked perfectly fine until today I load up my game and my save is gone?

Whats worse I think when I closed the game it synced and the save was deleted permanently.... I got really far and this has really disturbed me, any idea what to do? Thanks.

It's a known bug in the game. Occasionally the saves will get corrupted and stop working. It's a good idea to make backups of your saves for this game every once in a while.

That said, maybe there's a previous version available in the folder properties (I know this works on Windows 7 anyway). Just right-click the saves folder, go to properties, and the previous versions tab. Hopefully you can find a past version that works.
