Camera spins endlessly
Came to play Arkham CIty today and for the first time ever the camera wouldn't stop spinning around Batman. I've looked online, and other people who've had this problem have had a joystick/gamepad connected and their easy solution was to unplug it. Unfortunately I don't have a joystick connected, so I'm kinda stuck. Help?

I have the exact same problem. Anyone got any bright ideas? I have a PC Xbox controller but it is unplugged. I have tried recalibrating it - did nothing. I have reinstalled the game, the controller drivers - nothing. I also unplugged everything except for the mouse and keyboard - no luck either. I cant find any fixes on any internet forums yet.

Also the controller wont function or register input when ingame. It will only recognise the home button input. On other games it works fine. It is the offical PC xbox controller.

I scoured the Steam forums and I found an answer. I will summarise:
1) Go here: https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B4lfqq0DpUo-SnNRRzNOa3doWjA/edit?docId=0B4lfqq0DpUo-NDVjM2o2aTRYZDQ
2) Go to file > Download
3) Extract this file once downloaded
4) Navigate to /dinput8-x360cev21/blocker/dinput8.dll and copy this file
5) Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Batman Arkham City GOTY\Binaries\Win32 (depends on the version of BAA you have - I have the GOTY)
6) Paste the file into here and plug in any controller you may have used in the past
7) Open Batman AA and it should work - no more spinning! (hopefully)

It worked for me. I saw this post here:http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2764794&page=3
And thanks to "tenacious-me" for the answer. The link changed since 2009 so use the one I gave you.

I'm a naturally suspicious person when it comes to dll's from the internet, so I looked for an alternative solution; I went into device manager and disabled the "Human Interface Devices" one by one until the camera stopped spinning. So now I know which generically-labelled device is causing the problem in Windows I've left it disabled and hopefully I'll eventually find one of my peripherals doesn't work and I'll know what to swear at. :D Thanks for the help though.

Thank you so much for posting this. I've been looking for a fix for hours and this is the only thing that has worked.
