Is Batman Arkham City Worth Buying?
Hey Steam Gamers,

I've played the first installment of the series, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and it was amazing! I was really pumped for this game when it was heard of, but, now I'm not so sure. Why is this game so fantastic? What will make me want to buy it? I personally don't like to buy a game at a price of $29.99. I can wait until it goes on sale on Steam.

Thanks for your advice and help guys!

...yes.

Wait until a sale if you want but it's definitely worth playing, I've finished it something like 4 times.

Awesome. I'll consider it. I hope it will then go on sale during Midweek Madness or something. Summer Sale. Spring Sale. Steam Save Event!(?) Lol

What makes it stand out more than Arkham Asylum?

I'd say yes. If you enjoyed collecting all the secrets in AA then there is a lot of lore stuff in AC, there was a new type of challenge added called "campaigns", basically it takes 3 challenges (like the first one is Predator, Brawl, Predator), you got extra options to make it harder that you must use up during the campaign (still on the first example: Finish in 30 seconds, Random enemy being invulnerable for 3 seconds.)
You also got the challenges to complete that are bound to the levels as well, with a maximum of 3 retries. Also you can make your own challenges in the game (though I haven't tried that). You also get to play other then batman a few times (Catwoman), plus the challenges can be completed by Batman, Catwoman and depending on the DLC, Robin and Nightwing.

Yes, it's all the stuff you have available to do other than the main story - so much! I love this game to death and am currently on my 4th play through!

I have one more question: How long is the Single Player Story? I know that the Arkham Asylum Story was fairly long. I love, love, LOOOVE video games that have an amazingly long game play to them because then I feel more immersed in the story, and I also feel I'm getting more of my money's worth.

Is it as long, or longer than Arkham Asylum? How long is it really? (Not including all the Riddiler challenges)
