Wow steam ... NO CD key to activate...
When Batman Arkham City came out I bought it and the game needed to be activated with a CD key which was provided in the CD key window. I played a couple hours of it and then put it down. Now Im seriously fiening some Batman: AC and Im only seeing 3 of the 6 keys I own for this title none of which are the base game CD key. I can't activate my game again cause steam said it wasn't valid and redownloaded the locked veriosn of the game. Requiring me to unlock it again without access to the CD key.

Do you own the game through Steam or is it a retail version ?

I own the steam Batman Arkham City base game I bought it before GOYT came out. An since I didnt upgrade steam "re evaluted" my game files and gave me the DRM version that requires a CD key which I do not have. I click on CD key in my library in my steam library and it only shows 3 of my DLC keys...

Have you read the first link I posted (and the link inside) ?

You now own the GOTY version, which doesn't require a CD key anymore.
Check your games library of uninstalled games.

Odd I guess but it works. I couldnt seem to find it. Since I was looking in my.. ugh.. favorites list... Now I have to re-download it.. but it's not as big of a pain as contacting customer support would've been.

You could try to start downloading a bit, quit steam, copy your files from "batman2" to "batman arkham city goty" in steamapps folder.
Then restart steam and hope it can see the files already there...

If it works, it might save you some time. But it might not work at all.

I use to know how to trick steam into thinking games were installed via INI edits with the INI set to read only. I could then trick steam into thinking it was already installed to a specific dir suchs as /common/batman4lols/ I switch stuff around the validate my game chache and steam wil download the right files and place them in that dir. Im just doing a re-download of it instead.
