Amnesia or Outlast?

Disregarding PewDiePie (since he screams at absolutely everything he sees), I was wondering which one do you think is the superior (=scarier) game of the 2?

I would pick Amnesia!

I just finished Amnesia five minutes ago. A game that's 10-12 hours on average took me 21 hours to beat, because I was scared to sh*t all the time - _all_ the time!

I haven't tried Outlast, but judging from the gameplay trailer, it seems like it focuses more on monster chases (them chasing you), whereas Amnesia is all about the scary, scary anticipation.

I think I'm still trembling a little.

Haven't played Outlast, but Amnesia is amazing as are the custom stories and watching LPs of people do the stories that you've completed haha

I played both, Outlast is scarier, plus you get a sweet jacket

I sugjest you go on the Outlast forum and ask them as well.
But judging by gameplay from Outlast i would rather play Amneisa.

I found Outlast to be way more scary all you have is a camera with a light and you have to depend on batteries for you'r light source all you can do is run and hide the story is also amazing I would recomend you buy outlast over this game!

I think Amnesia due to the custom stories, but heck, Outlast does look scarier.

Developers state that Amnesia should take you roughly 10-12 hours. And that is a pretty lenghty game. Also if you wish to play on all difficulties and all endings and the hundreds of custom stories. Unfortunately the sequel will provide no support on custom story and develoeprs said it should be about 5-6 hours long. I'l buy it only for the 15 dollar but that is not a 20 dollar game.

Amnesia is WAY scarier than Outlast. Outlast is good, but it relies far to much on gore and jump scares. Besides, all the scariest stuff in Outlast has been "borrowed" from Amnesia.

i've played and beaten both Amnesias and outlast. i would definetely go with either one of the Amnesias over outlast. it should be called outrun cause you just run constantly and it just has gore, that's about it. the story is like a crappy b movie and after the first couple jump scares nothing was scary and i just ran straight at, and past, pretty much any of the other enemies easily. also oulast i beat in just under 4 hours, a machine for pigs lasted me over 11. outlast is like a slasher flick and Amnesia is a deeper multilayered horror story that uses tension, monsters, dread and an overall atmosphere that makes it feel like true horror

Amnesia. Outlast is scary only the first half hour, and the story is meh, Amnesia DD has better story, gameplay and lenght.
