Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Is it worth the money or rather wait till the sequel comes out?
I already played the demo, watched some lets plays and read some reviews.
So is this game worth the investment (is there something that increases replayability besides custom stories and such).
Should I wait till the Sequel?

I need something new in my daily gaming because I start to lose interest in FPS and RPG.
Figured this could tingle my senses a bit better.

It is. Some people where to scared to replay it. But to understand the story you have to play it a few times.

Theyre making a sequel?

I heard about Amnesia "A machine for Pigs" or something like that? Isn't that supposed to be a sequel or at least in the same genre? -.- Or maybe I was just halucinating from all the boredom caused by lackluster games. Oh well I will think about it ... maybe some other opinions?

This is probably the best survival horror game ever made. Is that not enough incentive?

Well i just bought Amnesia simply for the fact its cheap and i've wanted to scare myself for a while. If they are making a sequel i would highly reccommend playing the first before you play the second, so you're not left in the dark if refrences are made

Definitely worth the buy. It's just so much different than any game I have in my library; I wouldn't even call it 'fun,' it's just such a surreal experience. The story is worth it too, so I'd say play the first as well as the second (when it's released).

It's a great game, totally worth £15.00, it is fun, puzzling, and terrifying. Get it while it's still cheap!

The Game has user created map support(i do believe so) so it won't end after the main campaign.

Completed it over 30 times by now. No, I don't get scared anymore, but the game is entertaining as ♥♥♥♥. My recent bad speedruns are at 1hr, while the WR is .. 28 minutes I think. With glitches obviously.
Anyway, yes, worth the money.

Yeah I probably should. At least for some variety in my gaming habits. I buy a gift copy and see what I can do with it when i get back into gaming again. I am just too bored to look at any screen right now. And my wallet is shrinking too. Thx all.

Worth every cent. Of all the games I have played and movies I've seen that try to be scary, this is probably the only one that truly succeeds (Penumbra: Black Plague by the same devs is also amazing). Very Lovecraftian, paranoia and dark shapes in the corners of your eyes. I recommend it.

To clear it up: The "sequel" should be released this year. But there is no releasedate yet.

This is one of the best horror games ever, not to be compared with the ♥♥♥♥-storm of slender games and what-not that followed its success. BUY IT AND ♥♥♥♥ YOUR PANTS
