Is amnesia scarier than slender?

Well in my opinion i think amnesia is scarier because in slender all it is a guy teleporting behind from a far distance and he never goes so close up behind like in amneisa like after you read a note or something a monster might spawn in a closet and you'll never know.

Personally, Slender just felt kinda... bad... I played it once or twice, and after grabbing a note and turning around to see Slenderman there, I was just like "Oh. So that's how this game will be." It felt entirely too mechanical, and relied on only the easiest way of scaring people.

But Amnesia is almost entirely atmospheric. I wrote a review of this a while back, describing it as the "haunted house" of video games. Most of the time, you aren't in harm's way, but it sure as hell doesn't feel safe. There are a couple of jump-scares, I think... Some things are frightening in that they are just morbid (I guess that depends on your own conditioning, though), and when you have to sneak around the creatures from time to time, they're just moments filled with silent panic (Ohgodohgodohgodohgod). It really is quite the fix of fears, and it feels great to play, no matter how many times you play it. :)

I agree, the atmosphere in Amnesia is fantastic, Slender is merely a one trick pony, maybe a few more tricks for the faint of heart but even for them I think the thrill will be gone soon.

Slender: It's ok, in it's own way, It's a game that you play when you have time to kill, Amnesia is a game that you play to challenge your wits and skill, overall both are scary games though.

Slender is fun (in that strange horror game kind of way), but Amnesia is way scarier. Yes, Amnesia is a full-blown game, but Slender can get old after a while. With Amnesia, there are also tons of mods.
