<SPOILERS INSIDE> Been stuck for over an hour, need a nudge in the right direction.
As the title states, I've been stuck in the same spot for what seems like forever,
with absolutely no progress. Here are some screenshots of my issue:

I left out all of the information that I felt was irrelevant to my current issue,
so, if you need more information in order to help me out, just ask for it...

I need a little bit of help, as much as I hate to admit it. I'd like a small hint, preferably without any spoilers included whatsoever. Just something as simple as telling me what room I need to be in would be good, because I can't even figure that out. I've scoured every inch of every area I can enter, and wasted a fair amount of oil in the process. If I go any longer without making any progress whatsoever I think I'm going to get bored and quit (or maybe go insane, lol).

Please for the sake of other's enjoyment, use spoiler tags when posting the hint:
This is a spoiler. Quote my post to see how to make spoiler tags.

Okay. I did this last night so it's still fresh in my mind. Hopefully I'm right about what you need ot do next.

Firstly, stay in the bridge room. Spoilers follow...

You need to get the right-hand bridge down. The lever only brings it part way down before it gets stuck.

Maybe you could use your weight.

Have you tried pulling the other lever again?

The other bridge goes up when you pull the other lever, but it doesn't start going up immediately.

Make the other bridge go up, then get onto it before it moves.

When you think you can make it, do a running jump onto the stuck bridge to unstick it.

I just threw a rock on the bridge to lower it... But it actually looks like it's not been lowered at all yet?

This was one of the hardest puzzles of the game for me too, so don't feel bad about getting stuck.

I noticed at least one thing that you seem to be missing according to your screens:

Where you took the first two screens of the wheels and levers, assuming you actually did put them in the correct sequence, there's still a third part to the puzzle in another room that has to be completed before you're done with this area. The only vague hint I can think of giving you is that it involves props. Look around.

Alright, no more spoilers. I think I have MUCH more info than I really needed, now.
Thanks for the help, I'll try all of this out tonight when it gets dark and quiet tonight.

I will feel bad about it, forever. Asking for help like this is basically cheating. I don't like cheaters, so, now, I don't like myself. I've basically "lost" the game by doing this.

This is the winning hint.

I knew the pipes were going to be for something, because they were highlighted by the game with a small blue spotlight until you picked them up. If the holes in the wall had been highlighted in a similar manner, I might not have come away from this experience with so much frustration. Seriously, there's no visual cue whatsoever that says "play with this" anywhere near it. It might have caught my attention if there was steam or something coming from one or two of the open pipe holes, but the way it was hidden made it look like some unimportant atmospheric decoration. The only reason I found out that you could put the pipes onto them was because I was just dragging one of the loose pipes along all the pipe fixtures in all of the rooms hoping it'd automatically click into something after reading your hint. After the first pipe snapped into place it took me all of 30 seconds to finish that part of the puzzle. The only reason I knew that room was even halfway important was because I got bored the other day and stacked boxes to the skylight, then found out that I couldn't move the cogs, which were used in the previous prop-puzzle.

Now I feel terrible. Absolutely terrible. I hate cheating. And now I'm a cheater.

I didn't need this hint, all I did was throw a brick at the spot where the 4 chains joined into one and it came unstuck, just like the small bridge in the cistern. Jumping off of bridges is a good way to commit suicide, but it isn't useful for much else.

Glad you're no longer stuck.

I'm also very impressed with the game's physics engine for allowing alternate solutions that all make sense rather than just making us do the one thing the designers planned for.
