I am an easly frightend person, i saw that it was on sale, and i want to know if i should get this, please help. THIS DISSCUSSION IS OLD! I ALREADY GOT THE GAME AND PEE'D MYSELF!

It's only really scary since you don't have any means to defend yourself. I think for $5 it's definitely worth it, but I didn't find much replayability after my first run through due to the fact that it's predictable the second time.

only worth playing when you help set the tone:

play at night with 0 lighting
play with headphones (preferred) or speakers at a loud volume
play alone

should give you chills. might even make you scream or whimper if you do it right.

I loved this game!
I always suggest it to people who are looking for a good, Psychologically scary experience.
It's the kind of Horror that lets your Mind work on itself, kind of like the works of Poe or Lovecraft.

I played this game one time and one time only. I had the lights turned down.. it scared the bejesus out of me constantly - I LOVED it. A real sensational experience. I died before finishing and never restarted.
I never replayed it because I didn't want to spoil those wonderful moments... I consider this game to be a better horror experience than any movie I have seen in the last decade.

I would consider Amnesia to be a psychological thriller. About 75% of the game your are tricking yourself to be scared and jut end up scaring yourself for most of the game. Thats what makes this game so amazing and unbelievably terrifying at the same time. The Dev's were able to give you a terrifying game by hardly showing you anything at all. The atmosphere really sets the tone on this one and if you think you can handle one of the most terrifying games of all-time (arguably) then I would HIGHLY recommend you get this title. Cheers mate

For 3,74 its a must buy, scariest game on earth, it makes you scared in a totally different way than any other game. and remember the headphones.

I still haven't played it through. I'm also pretty easy scared, played Dead Space and F.E.A.R., but this is another level. I now own it for 2 years and there is an hour or so on the clock ;) It is really good. I think nobody can tell you whether you will like it or not. If you like being scared massively, give it a try. I don't regret buying it even if I will never play it through, the atmosphere is just genius.

My advise is get the demo to see if your graphics engine can even suport it (not allot do) and to see if it is to scary then again everyone is afraid of this game when playing it
