Demo Lag! So much lag...

I have a decent computer with an updated graphics card (GeForce 9500 GS). Have tried running graphics on low, turning off SSAO, Edge Smooth, World Reflection etc and, though it runs perfectly for about thirty seconds, the frame rate inevitably drops so low that the game is unplayble. I made sure there was nothing else running in the background... Even the menu screen lags! I REALLY want to play this game but have been looking online for solutions for two days and everything I have tried hasn't helped. Does anyone have any suggestions besides "lower the graphics" or "buy a better computer"? I play and have played many other games on this PC, including the first few Crysis games (not the new one, I think my computer would melt lol). Thanks for all your help :)

Also, while playing the game, the lag disappears when I enter the inventory and menu screens. I can move the mouse around perfectly and movement is smooth. But, when I exit back into the game play, the fps freezes up again...can anyone help?

Don't know what to tell you. Weak graphics card.
You can try it via onlive instead. You dont have to worry about specs, only your internet connection.
