Xbox 360 controller support?
I just tried the demo for Dark Descent, but my number 1 problem with it is the keyboard controls (in my opinion) weren't that great and I'd much prefer to use my Xbox 360 controller. Is there a possible way controller suppport could be in a future update? If there is, I will buy the game.

Just buy Xpadder. It's like 10$ i think and it works very well. You can also use Xpadder to remotely control your (HT)PC with a 360 controller as it emulates the mouse and you can keybind kb keys (like win-p) to the controller. I play this game with xpadder and it works so well it's like the game would have built-in controller support.

Mouse sensitivity in-game set to 3 and invert mouse checked if you want it. You can invert using xpadder but it also invert the doors which is not great but if you want inverted doors too you can do it using xpadder and uncheck the inverted mouse in-game. The dpad and the right thumbstick are both set to control the mouse. I did this because the sensitivity i was playing the game at was too low when browsing the inventory. So the dpad is to browse the inventory as the sensitivity is higher than the left thumbstick.

Upcoming patch 1.3 has full xbox 360 controller support even with GUI buttons. For now its not available on steam, so you have to install it manually.

Wow, that's fantastic. It's been in beta for 11 months it looks like. Wonder how close they are to releasing it.

Yep, so far so good! Played few hours yesterday like a pro, i think it feels even more comfortalbe than mouseJust rename AmnesiaTestVersion.exe to Amnesia.exe and dont unpack other exes as you dont need them until you are modding this game,

And once you start the game - dont foget to reset keybinds to make sure that all features are bound to gamepad.
You may also need to swap default bound RB <> RT and LB <> LT since having action buttons on triggers much more comfortable and responsive than bumpers

The only real complain i have about gamepad support - lack of deadzone settings, sometime camera may drift even if you play with mouse. Launcher should be removed for good and Justin should be startable from game.

Oh yeah, gamepad tips are only available for english language at the moment, no other localisation files was updated yet.

A little tip: If you want to rotate items, just dont push left stick very hard, seems to be a bug with item spining once you reach the limit of gamepad stick range.

Also i really loved that theres is a onscreen keyboard for profile creation, so you can enter it just by using gamepad - pretty rage thing for most of games on PC, many devs thinks that since you have real keyboards you have to drop gamepad for a white, enter text on keyboard and then take gamepad back, its not a case with new Amnesia update.

One other thing I think I noticed along with native gamepad support is that there is finally the ability to turn on vsync. No more tearing! For some reason forcing it in nvidia control panel wasn't working.

I happen to like the default gampad bindings. Got used to them pretty quick.

Feels more comfortable, but it seems like game uses old SDL which utilising gamepad via direct input instead of x input, so that triggers, instead of acting as 2 separate buttons, acting like 2 halfs of single axis, so that when you press both at same time, axis got centered like none of buttons pressed at all, and because of that you can trow item if you bind interaction actions of LT and RT, since you need to hold RT to keep holding item, and press LT to trow it, but once you do it, instead of throwing item just falls down like if you simply stopped to hold it.

Patch needs a patch with latest SDL support.
