Game will not start, crash with error message.

When I try to launch the game I end up with this popup window instead:

Error

Steam; Waiting for stats...
Render view failed; unable to reset device, hr = -2147467259
Render server failed; unable to create render view

I've tried:

- verifying integrity of game cache
- deleting local content / redownloading / reinstalling

I've had the game for quite some time and have played it before, so I'm not sure what changed,

Well, I decided to try one more thing.

Deleted Local Content again then went to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common and deleted both the Puzzle Dimension folder and the Puzzle Dimension Demo folder.Then I redownloaded the game, installed it, and the game finally launches again.

Problem solved. Hopefully this will help someone else.
