Hi there, just thought I would try something out. Seems like a lot of the veteran DotA community isn't especially friendly, and it's always nice to play with people who are. I made a quick group called the League of Friendly DotA Players and invited a few people who I've played with and enjoyed, and just wanted to get the word out. At the moment it's invite only, but if you're interested in joining let me know!
Here are the requirements:
- Friendly (duh)
- Extremely active administrators (2/3 of which are knowledgeable DotA players who offer tutoring)
- Awesome community
- Free stuff here and there! (I wish to stress that this is not the purpose of the group, but a side effect of the friendly community)
That's pretty much it, I don't care if you're pro or new. The only thing I require of members is that they're friendly. I'm hoping we can build up a nice community, so when you want to play a game with some people who aren't total strangers, you can just get some from the group. We'll see how it goes!
Questions? Comments? Feel free to let me know here.

Update to OP: We now have one of our great members, Chief of Cereal offering tutoring/help for people looking to get better at specific heroes or the game in general!
Update 2 to OP: From now on I will be asking everyone to be in group chat when they are online and available
so that members will have an easier time getting parties together (which is the whole point). Thanks everyone for your interest, your contribution will help make our community a success!
