sometimes when i start dota i get this error on a lot of the tabs usually all but the play or watch tab i know how to fix it i just have to restart steam just thought i throw this out there here is the full error that it's showing me

try to reinstall the anti virus program! cuz the new update in dota 2 have a conflic with your dota 2.. then restart the pc and it go check your dota 2 again and if it works try to install the anti virus again :)

ps.. check your firewall also.. close that and check your gateway for UPnP and turn it off :)

Doesn't work. I'm running Norton 360, i will not Reinstall it, because for one it is not the problem.

Check firewall, does that mean it needs to be OFF or ON?...

I found I got this error when my Norton 360 software got an update. I went to the Firewall Management of the antivirus, and under the Program Rules, set dota.exe and steam.exe to "Allow" (allow all traffic). That fixed the problem for me, and it might be the same with other antivirus/firewall software.

Its nothing to do with AV or firewall, never disable security because of what 1 random person says. I have never had a problem with the shop until now. Its not just you with the problem OP.

I just restarted Dota 3-4 times and it started working randomly.

I had this problem, so i checked my AntiVirus Software and Dota 2 was blocked in my Firewall settings, i allowed access from Dota 2 and it works fine now. Hope this helps you :D if not dont hesitate to add me and i can try and solve your problem :)

Did you check your firewall/antivirus settings for Steam and Dota like is said above? It has solved the problem for some people.
