to those that dont know what game booster is,its a software that could boost the CPU and others to optimize your game performance.its not a cheat its a legint program.

ive been using it for all my games and nothing has happened and it doesnt do nothing bad makes games run faster so i dont see a reason to ban people for that.

It's perfectly safe

I believe it only applies to external tools, that give ingame info, like the mana values and so on.

Nothing will happen, geez. If you're so paranoid just exit GB and stop making pointless topics.

I'm going to offer a very simple explaination of what I see:

Game Booster looks like it simply optimizies your settings (such as turning off excess services and programs) to help your PC run fast. It does not interact with any of the DOTA files.

VAC generally looks for programs that are actively trying to pull data straight from Steam or DOTA files and then translate that information into an advantage (such as no fog of war, speed hacks, etc...)

I think you'll be fine.

lol dude, you are so noob. Game booster has nothing to do with the game. it is just a software which shut down your other OS services to give more priority to your running games.

you can use it without any tension.

I've never used of this game booster thingy before, so I you can't really blame me for being ignorant about it. To the OP, you can send a ticket to steam support regardless and ask if it matters or not. At least you'll have a 100% confirmation then if it's ok or not.

Valeve is talking about things that hook into the dota 2 memory, or alters files/gives an advantage like maphacks.

That program is about as dangerous as running winamp in the background.

stop trolling. GB is not a hacking program.

Indeed, it's not, I wish people would stop spreading misinformation.
All I have to say in short, just ask steam support if you're not entirely sure.
Though like Zeem has mentioned before it has nothing to do with the Dota 2 client itself, it's just as harmless as removing months worth of internet cookies to speed up your pc.

*whoosh*

Winamp is a media player. His point was that GB is not dangerous and will not set off VAC.
