Stuck connecting to the DOTA 2 Network
So I was having severe slowdowns while in the menu (sub 5fps) and I decided to restart the game to fix the issue. Lo and behold, when I load the game back up, I am perpetually stuck connecting to the DOTA 2 network.

I've tried fully restarting, flushing DNS cache, restarting only Steam, etc. Nothing seems to work.

So im not the only one :D
i think its a mein bug. Many of my friends had this bug 2, but our Internet is great. The Crazy thing is, we all have it at the same time, so maybe its because off Dota 2 :/

Did you add steam and dota to your firewall exceptions? try that, try to run the game as administrator. also go into game and set network from HIGH to LOW

I got a solution.
Go to yur Library, right click Dota 2, Properties, then set launch options and fill in -novid. Try starting Dota 2, if you still have this problem, remove the -novid and try it over and over. Atleast at the 6th time it should work :>

im expiriencing it also
at this point of time i cant
open DoTA 2 :(
