ALT+NUM control group binding - not working
Hello, is there any way to bind for example ALT+1 as a control group hotkey?
While Alt+numeric works with items and abilities, it doesn't work with control groups UNLESS you do some really weird stuff like assign any other key to that group, create group, then rebind to Alt+num.
So, the point is, you can't CREATE group if it's hotkey is alt+num.
I think it's serious glitch, no?

isn't it Ctrl+number?

Don't mind Haggard. And top is correct, it's not alt but ctrl+hotkey.

Sir, you misunderstood me.
ASSIGNING control groups is Ctrl+number.
But I want to SELECT control groups by Alt+number.
You can bind Alt+number as control group hotkey in menu - but if you do it, then... you can't use Ctrl+number to ASSIGN it!
Can't you see absurd here? If I want to use Alt+number as control group SELECT button, then I first must bind anything else, like just number, so I can ASSIGN by Ctrl+number. It's kinda not working as intended...

Okay, I understand what you mean. But, if you have control groups set to bind to alt-num keys. wouldn't you have to hold ctrl then press ALT and the number to bind it?

The reason you bind with just ctrl-num in the first place is because the default binding for control groups is just the number on its own.

Out of curiosity, why are you trying to use alt-num?

I'm used to RTS games, so I want to have groups under 123..., but at the same time I want my items under 123...
Now I use alt+qweasd for items but even after I got used to it I end up dead sometimes just because I missclick item/ability in a quick combo.
I was just pointing absurd malfunction of binding mechanism. IMO I should be able to bind anything to ANY doable combo, except for steam reserved like shift+tab... If I want shift+1 as something, why am I not allowed to bind it? Just WHY?
