Its time for DOTA 2 to have more respect for people who play dota regularly.
I was added to the punishment system today, infact I get added to the punishment system regulary because of matters that are in no comparison more important that DOTA 2. Give or take, 20% of the month, I am in the punishment system. Where DOTA 2 tyrantly cages me for more than 48 hours, each time I'm considered abandoned. I have been and am being punished for emergecies in my life that Dota 2 can't control. The most recent example, I went to the doctor today for a skin issue I have been having for sometime. Turns out, I have a rare skin disease known as Exema. Exema information can be found on a variety of websites. Its a personal disease that is incurable, but is treatable. My family came home today and asked what happened during my doctors appointment. I left my computer seeking to expose my recent diagnosis. Leaving my Dota 2 game for roughly 10 minutes. I came back, finished the game and we won. There is a lot to be answered about DOTA 2's current punishment system, considering player satisfaction and well being. Is DOTA 2's intent to dissovle important family matters for the sake of a video game? If the owners of DOTA 2 were playing dota, and they had situations in their life that needed addressing but involved them being "PUNISHED" by current dota standards, would they get tossed into the punishment system? Would they get cast into being a contracted slave of the DOTA 2 punishment system? Where is the justice in the dota 2 punishment system? The DOTA 2 punishment system seems more like a modern day holocaust. Respect, evidence and remorse should hold more importance in the DOTA 2 punishment system.

The game typically doesn't put you in LP queue for a single abandon; it generally only LP's you for 2 or more abandons over a short period of time, or perhaps one abandon and a few reports. This way, the game accommodates real-life issues (having to step away from the game for something truly important), internet outages, computer problems, etc. (that should be occasional) while still punishing the leavers who make it a habit of ruining other people's games.

So what? Nobody cares if you had to go to dinner or a meteor fell on your house.

Don't play Dota if you doesn't have 1 hour of free time, or be ready to face consequences.

To be fair bud, you have to consider you're playing the game with 9 other people, 4 of whom are on your team.

As this is a multiplayer game, if you walk away for 10 minutes it can significantly affect the gaming experience of the other 9 people. As above said, the only way for you to avoid this, is to not go afk . . .if you simply must walk away, then abandon the game. That way you don't get 9 people reporting you, and after 5 minutes (of your 10 afk), the other guys get an abandon game, where the stats don't count. . .

. . that being said though, you'd likely still get reports, as people who are winning don't like to see their game become void, when someone has rage quit, or afk'd because they are losing.

I'd also consider looking at your profile pic/name. It doesn't bother me, but to some it might. . . you're playing this game with people of all ages, and some might take offence. I got randomed into a game where the guys name was pretty bad, but the picture was worse, definately not something for under 18's or even easily offended adults to have to encounter, myself . . .didn't bother me.

Your playing a multiplayer game, you have to take all of these things into account . . .if you can't allocate 30-60 mins per game, then unfortunately you should not be joining a multiplayer game. No point raging about the 'punishment', the only people I see making these posts are the one's who afk, and get annoyed. In my opinion it's fair. If my team are losing, I carry on playing until the end, it's a game, you can't always win.
Fishing for sympathy? If you leave a game. you get an abandon, it's automatic. How do you think Dota would know whether you have a rare skin disease or are a rage quitter? If you know that you have a doctor's appointment soon, don't even start a game.

You guys are pathetic souls. You are letting video games control your lives, open your eyes, all of you could use a breathe of fresh air. DOTA is a game not a tyranny.

Simple....don't have at least an hour of free time? Then don't start a game. And based on your post there appears to be a pattern doing it all the time.

You ruin the game for the other 4 peeps on your team...which then report u for abandoning....hence why u get lpq.

If u go afk for 5 mins....abandon.

Don't start a game if u know u won't have time to finish

When will people learn that Dota is no ♥♥♥♥ing CoD where you can join and leave whenever you want? I don't care if someone goes to doctor, has a phone call or diarrhea. In fact he ruined the game for me and the result is LPQ. If you can't take it, play another game.

what the ♥♥♥♥
This game has been completely LoLified.
You can report everyone for anything in every game until you run out of reports and it will still count towards their quota.
Every single game people casually report others for not getting wards, not upgrading courier, picks they disagree with, lane setups they disagree with, jungling they disagree with, items they disagree with, a less-farmed carry in a team with 4 carries and ,of course, being the worst player of the losing team.

The OP may be a retard for complaining he has to regularly leave his team to fight 4v5 for more than 10 minutes, but the issue remains that there is too much reporting going on for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t reasons.

Im sorry but no one is forcing you to play this game, feel free to leave. If you leave the game for whatever reason you have two options leave the game and yes you should be reported or talk to your team " srry guys i have to leave , srry for ♥♥♥♥ing the game" and hope that they are mature enough to not report you.

Adequate troll attempt.
