Dota 2 crashes after 1 game - problem since the latest patch.

Well pretty much what the title says, I have been playing Dota 2 just fine however after the latest patch I can play/watch 1 match only then when I go onto the second match after the game finishes loading (go onto the screen with players names etc) it just freezes and I have to ctrl alt del and then steam is frozen as well for a while.

Basically got an abandon because of this.

I tried everything from lowering the settings, reinstalling the game, verifying cache, running it in safe mode, different resolutions and even updated my video card and windows and tweaked with the video card settings.

I just have no idea why a game I spent 1300 hours on to just for no reason go berserk on me.

If anyone can help me I would be really grateful.

Happened to me too, your not the only one, I think happened to more people too. The thing i do was, put Shadow to low, and Textures at medium or less, and yesterday I played like 3/4 match in matchmaking without crash. But today.... Crashes at second match again, but i was playing with bots, not in matchmaking like yesterday. I have to apologize my English isn't good.

it happens when i play practice with bots... always crashes on the 2nd game... it never happened before... so probably due to one of the patches that was delivered last week...

same here even if i try to reconnect back to dota it awaits for connection so i had to restart steam every time and the game would be over by then
and this is happening only after the recent patch update

Same probl on my pc and my gf, after a game or two it crashes at player loading screen, the thing to be worse ctrl+ald+del not responding, so i need to wait like 30 secs in order to kill dota process which is not enough time to reconnect again! Before even if there is a crash sometimes i can reconnect fast and play normaly, now i just cant do it anymore...and it is happening after the latest patch on two of my pcs!

Dota Crashed the whole system >4times today. sometimes 2 times in one game. This got me at least 3 Abbandons, though I reconnected as fast as possible. Now I am in Low priority pool for 24h. Thank you very much valve!!!

Have no idea am contacting support right now and all I can hope for is the next patch in 2 days will fix it.

In the meantime all am doing is play 1 match, quit Dota 2 play another match, it's annoying but better than it crashing in middle of teamfight and causing me the game + making me get an abandon.

Yeah it happened to me too. After 1 game, i will restart the game to avoid freeze in loading screen which is annoying coz my friends have to wait for me to start the game ...

i fix the problem by reformat my pc. reinstall all fresh new . no issue now.. can even minimize while playing with no issue.

The problem dont fix when u reformat ur PC, u know why? The last update fix this issue, so I dont have more problems with this, I dont have to reformat my PC.

Hey guys, I've been experiencing this problem A LOT. soo i'm thinking if a laptop cooling pad would solve it. If it does, it would be a great help to me and DOTA 2 :)
