Why would someone think that thousand of hours spent in game will make him a VIP?
Hours played is also one of the best indications of skill Valve could implement, so teaming people with 100 hours against people with 1000 hours is just aweful.
The only reason you care is it's one of the only stats you can see when you look up a profile.
