Matchmaking srsly???
I have over 1000 hours now, how can I land in matches like this:
1038268621

The enemy team consisted of ABSOLUTE beginners, it was totally unfair in every way (3 of our team including me had 2 digits to zero), 30 min win.

If I was a beginner and in the enemy team I would never touch Dota again.

Our Naga was a total beginner, too. At first I thought he was trolling...

"I have over 1000 hours in game"
*Proceeded with statement that looks like a new player to this game*
Why?Because more hours in game=My statement will be a fact
LOL
Why would someone think that thousand of hours spent in game will make him a VIP?

Players with less than 100 hours should NOT be matched with players of 1000+. That is a messed up matchmaking system.

Why? What do hours have to do with anything?

They can still buy an account with more than 1000 hours by spending a few dollars, and this is certainly beyond the restriction of the matchmaking.

More hours of gaming=More legit reasons to be a complete douche.

I'm more concerned about the guy having 1k hours of dota and thinking he knows ♥♥♥♥ about this game yet. I'm at 2k and I'm still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clueless about a lot of things. I can play, sure, but I'm not *GOOD* good at it just from those 2k hours.

I have around 750 games, however I am constantly playing with people who have never played a game before and are literally getting their welcoming gifts. Two of my teammates got them just last game. The whole system is horrid.

I think that says more about you then them.

You people seem to concerned with insulting the OP than actually having any sort of constructive comment. The OP has 1000 hours. He is not saying that he's amazing at Dota, but only that he is better than most players who have only played 100 hours. That is a logical statement, especially when he just thrashed some of them. Generally the more you do something, the better at it you get. So that is what hours mean.

Hours played is also one of the best indications of skill Valve could implement, so teaming people with 100 hours against people with 1000 hours is just aweful.

A player with 3.3k MMR and 100 hours is just as good as a player with 3.3k MMR and 1000 hours.

The only reason you care is it's one of the only stats you can see when you look up a profile.

If the matchmaking system was decent then yes, it would imply that I'm a horrid player. But the match making system isn't very good, so you really can't make statements like that. Not without looking at my skill beforehand.

A player with 3.3k MMR and 100 hours is just as good as a player with 3.3k MMR and 1000 hours.
Assuming the MMR system is a perfect representation of skill. Which it isn't.

You can't really make statements like that without any sort of support.
