This needs to be stickied....
I keep seeing thread, after thread, after thread, with people posting about how they got LP, or muted in game...

#1: The forums are ONLY moderated by THE MODERATORS.

#2: The moderators, can only lock threads, and ban you from the forums

#3: Moderators CANNOT unmute you, or take you out of LP in Dota 2.

#4: Moderators CANNOT do anything related to dota 2. (except ban you from the dota 2 forums)

#5: If you got scammed, please report it using the scam report.

#5.1: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=9958-MJDG-3003#scammed (scroll to the bottom of the page, there will be instructions on what to do if you were scammed)

#6: If you found a bug, please report it at: http://dev.dota2.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3

#7: Did you get placed in LP, or muted because of a bug? Too bad... NOTHING can/will be done.

#8: Does xp not show up? Do items now show in your inventory yet? Wait it out. This is usually due to server slowness.

#9: Does a game show as a loss(or win) when it should of been a win(or loss)? Wait it out. Sometimes time will fix this issue, and sometimes not. If not, just take it like a big boy(or girl)

#10: MMR is an internet point system. Do you REALLY care THAT MUCH about fake internet points that mean nothing?

#11: MMR does not matter. The longer the game takes to create, the more wide the MMR range. If you are 3k MMR, and it takes 1 minute to find a game, you will be placed with ~2k-4k MMR players.
And please remember #10.
*Edited 11 for more relevance

#12: Getting stomped in games? Check out reddit/dota2, or the chat channels and find some people to play with.

#13: People calling you bad when you play? Read guides on how to play your hero. Find friends willing to teach you how to play.

#14: People calling you bad when you play support? Are you buying wards? Pulling? Denying? Roaming? Not dying? Not stealing CS? If so, THEY are bad, not you. Mute them and move on.

#15: EVERY HERO HAS A COUNTER. EACH, AND, EVERY, ONE. Learn the counters to each hero, and pick accordingly.

#16: Want to get better? Watch pro-games. They are all over youtube.
EDIT: Want to be a better support? ^ (Watching progames DOES help you get better. You learn juke spots, ward placement, and learn mechanics. Yes, you are copying other people play style, but you copying people who are good at the game.)

#17: Want to post a suggestion? Post it here if you want it to die and never be read, post it HERE: http://dev.dota2.com/ if you want it to ACTUALLY be read by a dev.

Just go back to play a game like League of Legends. Valve can't seem to fix their buggy game/servers. It feels like the game is still in beta.
El Presidente Mar 6, 2014 @ 2:42pm
Yeah, people don't seem to understand that they cannot reach Valve from here.

Even so I imagine a lot of people are just venting. But still, they should stop.
V3GA Mar 6, 2014 @ 2:58pm
People are venting, besides valve dont give a ♥♥♥♥ about nobody.

I agree,this should be stickied.
Also maybe add the fact that there is already a surrender option of sorts, that Valve has stated they wont add one,and that complaining about it here wont do any good anyways.

I edited it. Thanks for pointing it out.

Watching good carries play carries is not how you learn to play carry. However, it is how you learn support.

Supports who want to learn to be good supports, watch pro games.

i spose il just bump it to the front page... since this has hit page 5, on page 1, 2, 3, and 4, theres a post with each one of the above...

I agree with you. This forum is for sharing things, trading (subforum), and having general conversation with other Dota 2 players, not the complaints department. However: it can be a good place to get advice and help on certain issues, but this does not include thinking that heroes are OP, or complaining about bad players.

STICKY PLS

Only thing I'm not agreeing with "carry being harder to play than supports", all you do is last hit creeps and basic decision making skills that supports use too.

But then again that's coming from a guy who gets only 60 last hits in 10 min in a complete freefarm lane
I AM NOT A GOOD CARRY PLAYER

Contrary to popular belief, carrying is more than just last hitting.
It is decision making based on your teams play.
"is it time to forest? time to back? time to keep freefarming? time to gank? should I help the support in the forest getting ganked, or just keep farming?"

A good carry should never die in a side lane. rarely ever... (unless enemy team has map jumpers, or in a team fight over a tower)

"But what about getting ganked?" Map awareness and wards.
"What if they get a haste rune" You do have wards, right? See them getting a haste rune? back the f up, or hide.

playing carry is easy. Playing carry a roll WELL is very difficult.

Support is all about knowing where to ward, and when to pull.
As long as you do that, your carry will have map awareness and not die.

Doesnt matter if you can't land a lina stun to save your life, as long as the carry can see the map, hes fine. (edit: and a good carry...)

moral to the story, bad supports CAN win games. I have never seen a bad carry win a game.

OT : 900 > 5000 MMR? Where did you pull that from?

Indeed. All you have to do is to play a PvE game for the first 20-30 minutes while your support makes sure that you are safe and provides vision/wards, while the rest of your team is keeping pressure on an enemy team. Then you mostly just have to right-click, while the rest of your team (once again) provides disables/utilities.

We must be playing different games. I've been in tons of matches where non-carry heroes won the game while carry was still having fun with creeps. "Carry" got carried by, you know, supports.

Meaning, even a bad support still supports. A bad carry is dead weight.
