Valve, why are you letting sets like this into the game?
The TA, Slark, BH, and Disruptor sets are not fit for the guidelines if we're following hero themes.

It makes sense that newer players (especially those familiar with the way League makes skins) would not have a problem with these skins, but what about following the hero theme? What about keeping in line with the character of the hero?

Bounty hunter from the wild west? A cowboy hat? Guns on blades? Shark head hats that aren't on Tidehunter? A TA mask that makes her look like Lion or Doom? The Disruptor set would be fine, except that he's wearing a wetsuit that makes him look like a power ranger.

I don't want to hate just to hate. And, I can't say I'm entirely surprised that as the game is getting immensely more popular the workshop design guidelines are being thrown by the wayside to please more people (though I was surprisingly pleased with Valve with the weather reaction). I just want you to be consistent with your own guidelines, which is what makes your game unique, with one consistent, unbroken universe and theme.

Valve, please save your own guidelines

Is there even a guideline saying that cosmetics should be lore friendly? I kinda like wacky stuff.

It doesn't matter, this argument was shot down from the very beginning FOR THE VERY REASON that 1) I still have to see it, and 2) it breaks the theme.

Again, it has nothing to do with me not liking any particular set. I don't like most of the Naga and Lina sets, but I don't care that they're in the game. I just don't want them to break the hero theme.

I'm afraid that's not for you to decide these things, bro;

Except that Alpine Ursa got removed because of community reaction

You're not the community, you're one person.

And I'm voicing my opinion, which is what the community does. Why does that make you mad?

do you realize if you get rid of all the polygons, textures, sound and voices you could replace them with anything else and still be one of the most engaging games you can find for free ?

You are complaining about breaking the thee or astethic of the game... on a valve game after TF2 proved that people will just keep playing the ♥♥♥♥ out of it even if it get's a hunders of hats that look totally out of place.

Alpine Ursa got removed because community though it didnt fit his lore, after that Valve make the set a inmortal set and everyone want it again, so, as I can see, we cant trust the community when there is a lot of m*orons inside (im not calling you m*oron original poster, dont try to insult me back pls)

EDIT: ♥♥♥♥♥ guys, his is giving his opinion, so much hateful players

I agree with the wild west set and the slark set, the others im fine with. Im sorry but those 2 sets belong in LoL, not dota 2.

OP is mostly the hater here. I personally merely asked if there really was such a rule from valve concerning lore and cosmetics. I never got an answer either. =p
