Is there a guide for installing the mod? I've never installed a mod before.

It's really simple. Just download 2.4.2 from here: http://www.dawnofwar.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1771

And follow the installer. Make sure the installation path is pointing to the location of your Retribution install (for example, mine is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dawn of War II - Retribution), and the installer will do the work for you.
