Any other hidden signals in Chapter 3? (Spoilers)

I know 8500 FM has a foreign weather report when you're scanning 8000-8500 for a distress signal. Are there any others? Also, anything interesting hidden in the microfiche (other than some of the codewords foreshadowing the crash)?

I remember tuning into an FM or AM frequency that was a breaking news report. Something about a massive disease outbreak, I think it was just there to put more scare and unease into the chapter.

Probably just because the listening outposts are on the southeastern coast of Greenland, so they're close enough to Europe to pick up foreign broadcasts.

GCS, not gce. Three is the lowest possible score. Someone on the brink of death, who does not respond at all. No Eye, Voice, and Motor response. James' Voice score later goes up to 4 or 5, but his Eye and Motor response do not improve.

Yeah, the GCS thing had me thinking "where have I heard that before?" and tabbing out to Wikipedia to look it up. It's interesting how only the vocal response goes up to conscious levels after you decode one of the last signals and activate the generators, but not the eye or motor responses. Being aware enough to speak clearly, but unable to move or see...yikes.
