Performance issues - Huge frame drops
Hello, I've got a bit of a problem - already -
I bought the game today, downloaded it and restarted my computer after it finished.
I started playing the game without any problems at all (everything on high 65fps average)
but I've noticed this reaally annoying bug : every time a screen pops up, or if I take something off the ground, the game'll go from 60fps to 0 for 3/4seconds. so when I'm by dead bodies trying to loot them the screen just freezes for 10 seconds. It also happens when a new mission is announced or something like that.
I played Far Cry 4 and I don't remember having problems like that, nor on Assassin's Creed Origins.
Can anyone please help me? I'd be delighted to play this game properly!

My specs :
Win10
Processor : Intel Xeon CPU E5-1620 v3 @ 3.50GHz
CPU : GTX 1060 6GB
32GB RAM

Thank you for your help!

Try to validate files.

I’m having the same issue, where items being picked up cause the game to stutter really badly, apparently it was an issue in FC4 too and it’s cause by the auto save feature not syncing properly.

It should get patched out really soon, as it makes the game almost unplayable.

I'll try that necronomicon, thank you!
QuarterSquats, really? I don't recall that though, but yeah indeed looking forward to a fix

I assume he means do you have Windows manage it, have a specific value set, or did you turn it off completely.

Maybe the content being render is changing so the performance is changing? Looking at a wall vs a shoot out is going to be different.

using the latest nvidia drivers out today? (maybe to a clean install?)

windows up to date? (the latest version is fall update 1709)

I have both Windows and my drivers up to date and I did not turn the VRam of either. I didn't do anything to it, actually

It was patched out of far cry 4 after a few days, which is why I’m hoping it doesn’t take long for a patch here too, I would just make sure you update to the newest nvidia drivers that released today, then do a clean install. That’s what I’m going to do today after work.

Tell me if it fixed your issues, it didn't do the trick for me. I contacted Ubisoft's support and I'm currently waiting for an answer

Same issue here. I get micro stutter when I pickup items.

Not 100% sure if this helps but seems to improve, but I set my FPS limiter to 60 instead of unlimited and seems to greatly lowered the amount of stuttering I been getting. But also lowered my texture filtering so that also could be it.

It is bit hard to find out the problem since am getting a smooth 60 is least able to but seems when am traveling or a lot of action going on it begins to stutter randomly.
