if i buy the full package of this game when i have the game already will i get the DLC ?

I had the game before "the full package" deal came out, Today I went to also purchase "the full package" version in hopes that I'd get to keep the DLC and be able to put the spare base game into my inventory so I could gift the game to my friend later, it turns out you DON'T get a spare (as steam warns before final purchase) and sending your friend "the full package" version isn't any better either as they can accept the whole package into their inventory or library but they cannot seperate the DLC and trade/send it back. P.s you WILL get all DLC for purchasing it.
