you go to game library, right click on saints row, click on properties, click on local files. click on check integrity of game files, also defrag before.

Done it twice, it seems to work now. Thanks!

You are very welcome, Glad that I could be of help. If that didnt work, I would have told you to check that your hard disc is not overloaded, You should always keep at least 10% of your hard disc free, to get better performance, and to make your HD last longer. You can always let steam erase your local content of any game, but you still own the game, and can download it again.

I have 1.8T of free space so I should be good for a while :p

Yep, that should be good for a few days, lol :p
my whole HD is 1 TB, so I had to delete some old unused games today, in order to download Borderlands II, I just started playing it, and I am lovin it, great game, soo much better than Borderlands 1. I am considering buying Bio. Infinite, but I still have so many games, and next year it will be half price including all the DLC.

If people are still having this problem I found a solution, having a media player (I used VLC) open seems to solve the problem.
This works on Windows 8 (my OS) but ive heard it may not work on all opperating systems.
Hope it helps.
