crashing

what a joke. Buy a game and u cant play it for five minutes without a crash. Played the first 5 minutes enough times that even if it did start working, i couldn't bring myself to play it.

What exactly does happen?
It doesn't sound like it's a common problem, this game usually runs without crashing.

around 5 minutes in, the game stops responding. I've tried both the dx9 and dx10+11 option when running the game. also tried reinstalling. It's not new enough that my dual-core processor doesnt meet requirements, is it?

It shouldn't. My specs are:

Graphics: Radeon HD 6540
RAM: 8GB
Processor: Intel Core i5 750 @2.67GHz

And I can run the game on minimum eye candy without any problem.

got the same prob...my game runs a little longer...i get to the mission where you hit the armory...the sound gets stuck and the picture freezes...but i can go back to the desktop and kill the game via task manager...btw reentering the game after i went to the desktop is not possible.

any solutions?

it has something to do with the latest steam update... the same thing is happening with saints row 4 and both these games worked perfectly for me just a couple of weeks ago. Its happening to a lot of people.
