Atom Zombie Smasher Catastrophic Error
When I start the game pops up the following error:

Anyone know what is the reason? Sorry for my english

Try setting the atomzombiesmasher exe in the steamfolder to Win 7 compatability-mode.
That solved the issue for me, running on Win 7.

Yeah, I'm getting the "Could not load file or assembly 'sortbls.nlp' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

This game used to work just fine... ugh thanks a lot for changing files steam..

The game crashes.

Please try the following solutions:

Solution 1
Go to Atom Zombie Smasher's data folder. The default location is at: c:\games\steam\steamapps\common\atomzombiesmasher\data
Right-click on: atomzombiesmasher.exe
Select Properties
Select the Compatibility tab.
Check on the checkbox labeled: Run this program in compatibility mode for
From the dropdown box, select: Windows 7
Run the game.

Solution 2
Go to Atom Zombie Smasher's data folder. The default location is at: c:\games\steam\steamapps\common\atomzombiesmasher\data

Run the game.

Update your video card driver
ATI: http://ATI drivers
Nvidia: http://Nvidia drivers
If you're running Steam, update the game cache.
(right-click Atom Zombie Smasher > Properties > Local Files > Verity Integrity of Game Cache)
Run the game.
Solution 5

Go to Atom Zombie Smasher's data folder. The default location is at: c:\games\steam\steamapps\common\atomzombiesmasher\data
Delete the file: openal32.dll
Download and install the latest OpenAL Installer for Windows.[OpenAL Installer for Windows.]
Run the game.

Solution 6

Re-install the Microsoft C++ Redistributable
Re-install the Microsoft .Net Framework
Run the game.

I am an ati user and i need the file atom_net.exe to try the fix.
But i cant find it anywhere in my folders. Could someone post a link where i can download it?

i think its a bit of a disgrace this game worked for ages, then suddenly stopped working , same for me and both my brothers.

the same thing happened to me. i ended up e-mailing blendo games, and they sent me a fix it tool. i would try doing that, if all else fails.
