Help With Addon Campaigns in a SRCDS Server and VPK Addon Campaigns?
So I got a server up and running using SRCDS so I can play with more than 4 people, 6 as an example. I have the addon campaigns in the appropriate addon folder but whenever I try to start it up on the server it says something like "map /addons 'name of map'.bsp not found". I've tried looking everywhere for a solution with no luck. If anyone knows how to start custom capaigns for this kind of server than any and all help would be appreciated.

Do the maps show up if you do "maps *" in the SRCDS console? And how are you strarting them?

The individual sections of the maps do show up, so yes. When I tried loading up the goldeney4dead map from here:

it kicks me out of the server but appears to be joinable again. When I check the server for info it says something along the lines of "map damshort170surv missing stringable dictionary, dont ship this way!!", damshort170surv being the first mission of the map. When I try joing my server in game it appears that the map has loaded up and the map name and discription shows up. Once I click to join it closes my game with some error mesage. I loaded up a Silent Hill map and I was able to join just fine. I don't get it.

The stringtable dictionary thing might very well be causing it. It's easily fixed by the mapper by running the map before packing it in the vpk.

If you want to fix it locally, you'd have to unpack the campaign, run the maps, and repack it yourself. Everyone playing would need the fixed version.

I see, well thanks for the help. But anyways would you know what I can do to fix it locally?

You can unpack it by dragging the vpk to Left 4 Dead 2\bin\vpk.exe (needs the Authoring tools installed). It will produce a folder with the contents. Move the maps to the maps folder and run the map in the game. Then move them back and repack the vpk by dragging the folder onto vpk.exe.

Oh, ok. Thanks, I'll try it out.
