l4d2 map making | Can you use SDK base 2007???
Can you make maps with source SDK base 2007? or do you need something else

You only need the Left 4 Dead 2 Authoring Tools.

You only need l4d2 authoring tools because l4d2 uses a modded source engine that is completely separate from any orange box or 2000 to 2013 era SDK tool. this also means that compatibility can become a little bit of an issue.

Source SDK Bases are used for mods. You cannot modify the code of L4D2. You need only the L4D2 Authoring Tools, which is Hammer tailored for L4D2 map-making.
