Hammer killed my map
long story short - when i tried to make a displacement out of very thin solid (probably my mistake) it closed and saved what it did, and now doesnt want to load it`s work :c
the thing is, i can modify the VMF file via some text-programms, but i cant find the "solid" (or how is it should be called) part that crashed it.
any ideas how to know where exactly hammer fails to read the file?
and how i should delete it without messing anything up?
(i tried to delete large chunks of solids in hope to hit the right spot, but it says that "unexpected end of file" even tho i deleted everything carefully)

You may want to check if hammer has an auto-save of the map from before you built the displacement.
i checked and they are raw versions of the map, i will have to rebuild it almost from scratch.
i wonder is anyone knows how dispacements are coded inside the file, from start to finish.
i`ll try to fix it, i have some ideas.
