Competitive-like weapon behaviour
I saw a stream of a competitive game, and I noticed the weapon pickups were single use, meaning if you picked up a shotgun, your teammate would not be able to use it (they disappeared, essentially).

How can I set up my game to achieve this effect on hosted games? This could be useful to force a role-based playstyle without having to explain it to the players.

A good number of competitive games use promod- not sure what exactly is in it, it might be in promod or something similar.

Off the top of my head, the setting for number of guns inside weapon drops is generally hardcoded inside the map (not sure about official maps). If you knew the coordinates of the various gun drops (or anything really) you can replace or modify the entities as you please.

If you want to make a mutation, it's possible to set a callback function for the spawner_give_item game event, which fires when a player picks up a weapon, to kill the spawnpoint.

Yes, apparently pro mod has this option. I will try some options before attempting to edit something that has to do with metamod, as I have no clue how it works and I'm only interested in the weapon limiting part.

Any specific file I can start working with?

Alright, I suppose I'll check out some of the basics of mutation making then.

Will update, thanks for the feedback guys
