Modding a (Weapon) Mod

Hello everyone. I am attempting to take a SCAR mod enjoy and have a different set of animations for it. Before I get into any more detail, I want to make it clear that this modified add-on will be for my personal use; I will not post it to the Steam Workshop or any thrid party website for distribution.

The add-on linked below is one of my favorite SCAR mods. The problem I have with it is that the reload animations do no line up well with what the game requires for online play. There aren't any issues with using it asis, it just frustrates me alone. What I want to do is swap the current animations with Arby29's set. I have already tried this on my own, but I have only been left with the default SCAR in its place.
