Looking4Dead: The Place to be! :D
How are y'all doing on this fine day? Good? Me tew.
So, let's get started, shall we?
What is Looking4Dead About?
Looking4Dead is all about creating a "safe", but mostly fun environment for Players to meet other Players with all kinds of skill levels and personalities.
The group currently only has me in it, because I've done my best to get as far as I could within half a day before actually making it public for Players.
I have to say that I'm pretty satisfied of what I've got setup so far though.
While the goal of the group is to get Players together to hopefully make new friends, I also strive to please other community needs, such as providing Custom Campaigns and Mods, neither of these will be forced on the players, Players can fully decide for themselves if they wish to make use of a Serverside Modification or wish to play "vanilla".
The only things enforced are the Rules (which are mostly about behaviour), and a few "Fixes" which are simple coding screw-ups from Valve.
Furthermore, the servers have been engineered and are running on the best possible settings, which is surely something you've heard many Server Admins say in an attempt to attract people, but I can assure you that I've done the necessary tweaking and testing to actually make this statement without having to worry about being unmasked.
More about this can be found on the Steam Group, which I tried to make as detailed as possible.
That's cool and all, but why should we "Follow" you?
You don't have to, Looking4Dead has always been an idea of mine since the good old Left 4 Dead 1 days, I just never got to it.
This is my shot at it and I will give it everything I can. :)
As for Experience with the Game itself, Coding and Servers, I'm in charge of the Competitive Community in the EU L4D2 Scene with my Main Account.
This may not sound as big as it would be in any actually sponsored game, but I consider it a big deal and I invest loads of my time in it.
The End of this long Post

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them.
I would also love to get a little bit of feedback on how I've set things up so far, any feedback is much appreciated!
I hope to hear from you. :)
