Connection failed after 10 tries (2 PCS IN SAME ROOM)

My girlfriend and I play alot of Versus online and within the past week or so we have had a hard time connecting to servers together. It seems like the server won't allow both of us in the same server anymore. We have never had this problem before and it's very frustrating. I'm wondering if there was an update recently that has changed some settings or something.

If I load first she can't connect, if she loads first I can't connect.

Also forgot to include we both are on seperate PC's with seperate steam accounts and seperately purchased copies of L4d
