Halo themed maps for Left 4 Dead 2
Been thinking ( A dangerous pasttime, I know ) how awesome it would be if the community did a Halo themed map ( Yes, with characters and respective weapons ) for L4D2. If I could, I would, but I simply don't know how to make a mod for L4D2. So... Ideas?

The map is possible, with textures and maybe even sounds.

But weapons? Don't think so, unless you count weapon skins

I was thinking along the lines of custom weapon skins for each weapon
For example, AK47 could be Suppressor from Halo 4, M16 could be Assualt Rifle, Sniper Rifle.. Well, that's kinda obvious, hunting rifle could be Halo 4 Beam rifle. etc etc
If anyone is reading this, go ahead and try, it's not like it's gonna kill you to try something new.

Reach out to DangerWasp, he was throwing around an idea like this, and I was planning to learn Hammer at some point. You should download it and mess around with some of dangers assets. There's quite a bit of work going into converting l4d2 to halo

Custom weapons are possible. Have you ever seen the addons Rectus made?

Your best bet in "porting" maps from other games into source is creating a 3D screenshot of the map and then use something like Blender to turn it into a source model. You can then add it to your map and use it as a reference. People have already done that for various games including Halo.

I was thinking of making something new using existing assets. There's lots of vehicles and stuff that have already been ported, but what I'd really need is structures
