Cross-game compatibility?
When l4d2 was announced, and there was a huge boycott because it was so soon after l4d1, Valve made an announcement that, in order to keep l4d1 alive and fans happy, that it would be cross game compatible with l4d2.

Did this happen, and is it possible?

The reason I ask, is I have l4d2 (with all the l4d1 stuff in), but my mate only has l4d1.
Is there a way for us to play through the l4d1 content together?

Thanks

No.
And I never heard of any such announcement. They only promised that they wouldn't abandon L4D1... which they broke, as soon as Sacrifice was released for both versions.

Damn. Fair enough. There are articles all over the internet where they mention they were going to make thegames compatible. Anyway, if it's not possible - BOO! :)

It's not possible. Either your friend gets l4d2 or you get l4d1.....or just wait till it is compatible with each other.
