The Unforgivable L4D Sin
I'm curious...
The only two times I've been votekicked, it has been immediately after a charger runs me into a chasm.

Is there some automatic rage that causes people to votekick for this? I am aware that you shouldn't stand in front of windows and such, but these things happen with a well-placed charger.

The first time I was adjusting my audio and got banned.
The latest instance I was playing on the rooftop level so it is easy for a charger to sneak up and run you off the roof.

These things happen with a well placed survivor...or should I say bad-placed survivor.
A Charger can only charge in one straight line, it is up to you not to stand on that line. And if you happen to be caught by jockey or smoker for a deathcharge setup, a good teammate will anticipate the possibility of that happening and will free you as quickly as possible to avoid that.

There is no logic on public versus.

The L4D2 community has an elitist streak and will votekick for silly things. It's like their lives will be ruined if they don't get more imaginary video game points that don't allow you to get anything at all.

They'll votekick you if you make a simple mistake. It's annoying. Even people who have been putting hundreds of hours into this game and are very good occasionally have a stray shot or a lapse in judgement.

Just try not to let them get under your skin. They're truly losers in most cases.

I personally find it difficult a lot of the time to tell who is a greifer and who is just new. I tolerate people who aren't on the same level as me with the game - I want to help people get better and it's not they're fault if they're not very good at the moment. But sometimes I will votekick someone or ask them to leave if they are playing Realism Expert or something and are just blatantly and wholly out of their league to the point where it's causing significant trouble for the team and preventing progress. That's rare though.

Add me if you want to play sometime.

Yeah, I have a bunch of friends who are a little too into the versus scene in this game. They don't seem to understand why I don't want to play Versus most of the time.

I like to be challenged by the game, not by my tolerance levels for other people. Most of these guys think they're hot ♥♥♥♥ just because they're able to get a team together that will coordinate their SI attacks and can rush through a campaign on normal mode. It's always hilarious to see them flop like fish against a simple horde of zombies in Expert campaign after hours of ♥♥♥♥ talking.

How can you compare Campaign and Versus. Campaign expert, especially, has nothing in common with VS.

does anyone else think people who boss people around and votekick all sound the same?

That's not the point. He was explaining why he likes one mode over the other. It is a comparison of enjoyment of the modes. He prefers campaign.

They are likely to initiate the votekick. As pointed out earlier, who knows what logic prompts the rest of the team to suddenly have a complaint warranting the kick.

There are jerks on Co-op, too. The other day I got in a game where 2 guys (a vet and a likely fake newb) would constantly hog all the med kits. I imagine they started off by knocking the bots into the red, allowing them to easily out pace all their victims. As soon as they'd get into the safe room they'd use up all the kits, and if their happened to be one on the map they'd go out of their way of using their kit and grabbing it. Pills as well....

Yeah, ancient greifing technique. Not worth sticking in a game like that lol

I find that if you spend enough time on vs, that sometimes you can find some people who actually play the game like it shoud be, for fun. I play sersiously, but i don't rage about things, like missing someone as a Charger, or not hitting anyone as a Tank. True, the nice players are rare, but they do exist, if you want a fun group to play with, add me
