L4D2 Finale glitch

I'm not sure what it is. But recently I've been noticing that a lot of the games I've been playing the rescue arrives almost instantly. I've been seeing it on Official Servers too. any idea what's causing it?

Considering Valve has been constantly messing with the game recently, they might have issued an update that seriously screwed with the AI Director's consistency to send out the waves of hordes and tanks and instead It instantly summons the rescue vehicle.

I've seen this happen on rare occasion. Sometimes we just have to wait a while while the hoard summon sounds and tank summon sounds play but nothing comes at us, and then we just hop on the rescue vehicle. I see this occur most often on Hard Rain, but it's been a long time since I last encountered it.

No idea what causes it.

What this is, is a setting on the map that cause the finale to end faster than supposed to, this takes the fun out of finales and doesn't provide a challenge.

ALOT of this is happened to me. Using official servers too.
I get some thing that says: "FLOW BROKEN-DIRECTOR CAN NOT POPULATE WORLD!"

Valve, fix your problem you caused.

This glitch is seriously frustrating. It means you can never be sure if this is one of the seldom times the finale's going to actually play out. Half of playing through a campaign is knowing the finale is coming and after the first time, it just becomes boring. At least for me, it seems to only happen every so often but I'd like to see it fixed because it severely hampers game balance.

This happens on Dark Carnival & Swamp Fever.

There is also a similar bug in Dead Centre. The end of finale (get to the car) music starts as soon as you leave the lift but you can't finish the level. Even if you get all the cans the level doesn't end.

This has been going on for quite some time. Quick and easy answer. When you join or connect to what is considered an "official" server it will always be a glitched server if it says "PINION" server with the pop-up advertisement on it. You have to hit ok to join the game. Open the console and view your L4D2 history. There are official servers and "official Pinion Servers".Not sure if it helps but i delete any "pinion" servers from my history and dont allow them in my favories. Once you join one it seems to be remembered in your history and if you try and set one up you will end up on another "Pinion" pile of ♥♥♥♥.

Hmmmm... Was just checking my post and see they have a rather heavy handed form of speech censorship on this forum. I realize that there are probably millions of teen and preteens that read through the forum comments in search of whatever they are seeking. And as i do try and watch my language around the young, deleting the word i typed completely is uncalled for and abit hypocritical. If your going to censor the printed word, (Nazis were very good at this when they burned books in the 1930-40.) Steam may as well go all the way and develop an cvar/command thats automatically boots you or kicks you from a game for typing or speaking vulgar/prohibited speech. In their infinite wisdom it will be up to Steam to decide what is allowed. We certainly cant demand our 1st amendment rights as we are having this conversation on a Steam Server in The Steam Forum. But as a veteran and citizen of our U.S.A. i would ask Steam management to be abit more open minded, and less far rightwing bible thumping sticks in the mud in a forum that has to do with a game that is played by the very young as well as others, to reach the point of using the most horrible and brutal weapons to maim,dismember,burn,behead and mutilate representations of actual human beings.Perhaps they can post what can and cannot be used after they have this momentous meeting and set "the rules". The word "S**T" that im not allowed to type is one of the least offensive words i know. I was using it in a rather poor descriptive term of the "PINION" servers that we end up using ingame at times. For my lack of using a better suited word i do apologize.
