Games keeps Freezing and Sound looping.

For the past few days when I've been playing, the game will Freeze and the sound will loop for a few seconds. It will constantly do this throughout the game.

I have tried verifiyng the game cache and that did not work.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Maybe reinstall it.

This has been happening to my friend and I, it seems to be related to the server you're playing on (we keep getting internode ones which would usually be great due to our location).

Get same problem. After I play 1 game, it will stutter up even in the menus. I tried turning off vsync, and multicore , plus ATI AI thing and it will not stop stuttering until I restart computer.

The problem seems to be caused by joining a particular server.

To avoid this, switch it so it joins the Best Official Dedicated Server and you should be fine.

same here with me it worked once on my big comp after i got a mod it goes black an sound loops but it works on my laptop
